Mistralclan cats are known for their speed and agility. They are quick and light-footed, with long, powerful legs and thick fur to protect them from the buffeting winds of their open territory. They have thick, rough pads to protect them from the rocky mountianside and tend to be impatient, outgoing, and interested in keeping the peace.
Their territory is seemingly endless, the moor stretching out below the open sky from the scattered pine trees that indicate the Shadeclan boarder to were the earth turns to mush underpaw and Runnelclan stakes their claim to the part of the land that would be useless to Mistralclan, anyway. The grassy hills are littered with beautiful wildflowers, long grasses, and thick patches of green clover, an abunndence of herb finding opportunities as far as a medicine cat's eyes can see. These fields are home to many different types of prey from the small birds that make their home in the grasses to the rabbits that dig their way into the ground, Mistralclan cats masters at hunting the fastest of meals. Although the territory is open and exposed, providing no shelter from the elements nor a single good place for hiding, the cats who live there follow the simple fact that one does not have to hide if one can run fast enough.
Mistralclan territory is also home to the sacred lands of star fields, their former training grounds. While the star fields were once used to train apprentices as well as hold apprentice competitions between all four clans every moon, they are now viewed as mutual territory and no cat may hunt there. The field, partially on Shadeclan territory, is now used as a burial ground for their fallen ancestors who were lost during the long leafbare. At any time, a cat of any clan may come visit this field, often leaving trinkets on the graves of their loves ones. It is the responsibility Mistralclan has taken upon themselves to maintain these trinkets, keeping them secure and making certain that each fallen loved one is represented in a way that is respectful and deserving of their sacrifice. The clan does this without being asked and without asking, simply because they think it is right to do.
What makes Mistralclan territory truly endless is the rocky mountainside which stretches up towards the sky and taunts the other clans with the fact that the entire mountain may belong to any clan brave and strong enough to scale its face. Mistralclan is this clan, having moved their training grounds to the steeplands once star fields were claimed as sacred. The cats build up their pads to be thick and rough, their strong legs, toughened by running, working to hone in their ability to use the different levels of the land to their advantage. There is much danger in training here, however, between the great heights which threaten great falls and the sharp rocks that may pierce the supple paws of young apprentices. Thankfully, the more experienced apprentices have learned ways to work around these issues and thus the clan is learning how to make the most of their territory.
The heart of the clan's territory lies at the base of the steeplands, the clan's camp open to the sky but protected by having the home court advantage, other clans not as well equipped when dealing with such tough terrain underpaw. The tall growing wildflowers and grasses form dens while a boulder sitting in the center of the clover-covered clearing marks the leader's perch during clan meetings. The clan loves the open feeling, claiming to be bound only by the sky.
